Task of Library Unit

1. Management of Information Resources
        • Organizing books and references using an international classification system (e.g., Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress).
        • Cataloging library materials electronically and updating the database.
        • Receiving donated materials and registering them in the system.
2. Services Provided to Students and Researchers
        • Managing internal and external borrowing and ensuring timely returns.
         • Supervising the reading hall and providing a suitable study environment.
         • Offering reference and guidance services to help users access relevant information sources.
3. Development and Acquisition
        • Identifying annual needs for books and references and recommending their procurement.
        • Updating and organizing the digital library (e-books, theses, and research papers).
         • Preserving and maintaining library materials.
4. Scientific Archiving
          • Organizing and maintaining electronic archives of theses and dissertations.
          • Archiving the research output of the college.
5. Technical Support
          • Managing the library’s online public access catalog (OPAC).
           • Providing technical support to students on using digital databases.
6. Cultural and Academic Activities
           • Organizing book fairs within the college.
            • Conducting workshops on research skills and the use of digital library resources.
