As part of the scientific activities of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, the Department of Computer Networks, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling Division and the Continuing Education Unit, held an online workshop entitled “Drugs and Their Impact on Society,” under the patronage of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, Acting Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology.

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Hala Adeeb Dawood, who presented a scientific lecture addressing drugs, the reasons for their spread, and their psychological, social, and health effects. She also emphasized preventive measures and highlighted the role of families and educational institutions in limiting their spread.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the dangers of drugs and their negative repercussions on individuals and society, clarify the role of educational institutions in awareness and prevention, and enhance students’ community awareness of the importance of confronting this serious phenomenon.
