Tasks of the Security Permits Office
1. Verify personal data of new employees and students prior to completing hiring or registration procedures.
2. Issue security clearances for appointments, contracts, visits, events, and activities held within the college.
3. Maintain and regularly update security records for staff, students, and contracted personnel.
4. Organize and regulate visitor and delegation entry to the college and ensure their data matches their institutional identity.
5. Coordinate with the university’s security authorities or relevant official bodies when security verification or inquiries are required.
6. Monitor compliance with security and safety instructions across college facilities and buildings.
7. Follow up on cases of lost or stolen IDs or official badges and report them accordingly.
8. Issue permits for using laboratories or sensitive equipment after verifying documents and ensuring compliance with regulations.
9. Prepare periodic reports covering security violations, visitor logs, and entry/exit movements.
10. Review contractor and vendor files and verify their background before granting access to college premises.
11. Supervise the CCTV surveillance system and ensure proper operation and continuous recording in coordination with relevant university departments.
12. Respond to and handle emergency security situations within the college’s jurisdiction and coordinate with higher authorities when needed.
13. Participate in preparing crisis and emergency management plans from a security perspective.
14. Promote security awareness and disseminate guidelines related to protecting college property and maintaining information confidentiality.
15. Monitor compliance with data protection policies related to staff, students, and laboratory resources.
