Tasks of the Pension Unit

1. Managing Retirement Files
Processing and maintaining records of employees who are being referred to retirement and ensuring the completeness of their service records.
2. Calculating Length of Service
Verifying and calculating the employee’s total eligible years of service in accordance with applicable regulations.
3. Confirming Retirement Eligibility
Ensuring that the employee meets the legal retirement age or qualifies for early retirement conditions.
4. Calculating Financial Entitlements
Determining end-of-service benefits, unused leave balances, and other financial dues.
5. Issuing Retirement Decisions
Preparing and processing official retirement orders in coordination with senior management.
6. Coordinating with the Pension Authority or Fund
Submitting official documentation and completing required procedures for pension disbursement.
7. Settlement of Liabilities and Clearances
Ensuring clearance of assets, equipment, and financial or administrative obligations prior to retirement.
8. Archiving Retirement Records
Maintaining retirement documentation in both electronic and physical formats according to the approved archiving policy.
9. Providing Pre-Retirement Guidance
Advising employees on their rights, responsibilities, and required procedures before retirement.
10. Preparing Periodic Reports
Submitting reports on retirement cases and related financial implications to senior management.
