Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, Acting Dean of the College of Computer Science and Informatics, the scientific course organized by the Information Technology Department at the College of Computer Science and Informatics, entitled “Fundamentals of Scientific Research,” has continued.
On the fourth day of the course, a scientific lecture was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Abbas Kazem, in which he addressed the method and mechanism of importing scientific publications from the Google Scholar platform into an ORCID account, highlighting its importance in documenting scholarly output and building researchers’ academic identities.During the lecture, the speaker introduced the ORCID platform and its role in organizing a researcher’s academic record.
He also reviewed the practical steps for adding published works from Google Scholar, emphasizing the need to verify the accuracy of research titles, journal names, and publication years. Furthermore, he explained the importance of obtaining an ORCID iD in supporting academic careers and increasing the visibility of research in international databases.
