Under the patronage of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nishat Mubarak Sliwa, the Acting Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, the Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Department, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Mechanism of Participation in the National Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition.” The workshop aimed to promote a culture of technological innovation and encourage students to participate in national scientific competitions that contribute to developing their technical and research skills.
The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Noora Hashim Mohammed, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, and Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Abbas Kadhim, a faculty member in the Computer Networks Department. They presented an overview of the steps involved in preparing robotics and artificial intelligence projects, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and scientific planning in achieving distinguished results in such competitions.
The workshop also introduced the National Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, highlighting its main themes, participation requirements, and the technical and scientific criteria adopted by judging committees in evaluating the submitted projects.
This workshop comes as part of efforts to support modern educational trends and enhance students’ digital skills in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, by preparing students capable of keeping pace with technological advancements and labor market requirements.
