As part of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week activities, and in continuation of the College of Computer Science and Informatics’ series of scientific events at the University of Al-Hamdaniya, the Department of Computer Networks held a scientific seminar titled:
“The Psychological and Social Effects of Drug Abuse Among Youth.”
The seminar was presented by:
Asst. Prof. Dr. Uday Naimat Boutros – Nineveh Directorate of Education.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Zafar Hatem Fadhel – College of Education for Humanities, University of Mosul.
The seminar addressed the most significant behavioral, health, and social consequences resulting from drug abuse, in addition to the psychological impacts that threaten young people. It also offered scientific insights for addressing this increasing phenomenon in society.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, the Assistant Deans of the College of Computer Science and Informatics, several faculty members, and a large number of students who actively engaged with the seminar topics and discussions.
This seminar comes as part of the college’s efforts to raise awareness and highlight the dangers targeting youth, thereby reinforcing the university’s role in serving the community and protecting its members.
