Speech of the Head of the Department of Information Technology<\/strong>
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Department of Information Technology at the College of Computer and Informatics \u2013 University of Al-Hamdaniya was established in the academic year 2025\u20132026 to meet the growing need for qualified professionals capable of managing and developing modern information systems in response to the rapid advances in technology and digital transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department aims to prepare distinguished graduates with strong skills in systems analysis and design, database management, software development, and the creation of technological solutions that serve both the public and private sectors. It also seeks to foster innovative thinking and enhance students\u2019 abilities in applied scientific research in line with the needs of the digital revolution and e-government transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The department places great emphasis on updating its curricula to align with the latest global academic and technological standards in information technology. It integrates theoretical and practical aspects of learning through interactive teaching methods and applied projects that link academic study with real-world applications.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moreover, the department encourages research and development in areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and intelligent software systems, while supporting students in obtaining international professional certifications that strengthen their competitiveness locally and globally.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In conclusion, we reaffirm our commitment to providing an inspiring academic environment that fosters human potential, critical thinking, and creativity \u2014 contributing to the advancement of the University of Al-Hamdaniya among distinguished Iraqi universities and making the Department of Information Technology a key pillar in the country\u2019s technological and knowledge development.<\/strong><\/p>\n
