Speech of the Head of the Networks Department
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Networks Department at the College of Computers and Informatics -University of AL-Hamdaniya was established in the academic year 2025–2026 to meet the growing demand for specialized professionals in computer networks who can keep pace with the rapid developments in information technology and digital transformation.
The department aims to equip students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in network design, management, security, and operation, in line with the latest academic and technical quality standards. It also seeks to promote applied scientific research, serve the community through workshops and specialized consultations, and encourage creativity and innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and information security, while preparing students to obtain professional certifications such as CCNA and CompTIA.
The department leadership, in collaboration with the esteemed faculty, is committed to developing curricula and adopting modern teaching methods that rely on blended learning and applied projects, linking academic knowledge with practical experience. This approach prepares graduates who can competitively contribute to the development of the information and communications technology sector and enables them to actively participate in the labor market and governmental and private institutions, meeting the needs of digital and technological advancement across various fields.
In conclusion, we reaffirm our steadfast commitment to providing high-quality education, building an academic environment that encourages innovation and serves the community, and enhancing the standing University of Al-Hamdaniya among leading Iraqi universities.
