Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, Acting Dean of the College of Computer Science and Informatics, the scientific course organized by the Information Technology Department at the College of Computer Science and Informatics, entitled “Fundamentals of Scientific Research,” has continued.
On the third day of the course, a scientific lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Noora Hashim Mohammed, in which she discussed an introduction to the Google Scholar platform, its mechanism of use in scientific research, and its importance in accessing reputable academic sources such as research papers, theses, and books.
The lecture also addressed how to create a researcher profile, methods of citing sources, tracking citation counts, and the role of the platform in supporting researchers and enhancing their academic presence in scholarly databases, thereby contributing to improving the quality of scientific research and enhancing university rankings.
The course aims to develop researchers’ skills in the field of scientific research and to strengthen their academic capabilities, contributing to the advancement of the scientific and research level.
