Under the patronage of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, the Acting Dean of the College of Computers and Information, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and in coordination with the Continuing Education Center, held a scientific workshop entitled “The Importance of Women’s Role and Promoting a Positive Culture Toward Them.”
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Noor Abdul-Salam Hamed from the University of Nineveh and Assistant Lecturer Khalida Qusai Sabah, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college. The lecturers addressed the important role played by women in building society and emphasized the importance of establishing a positive culture based on respecting women and appreciating their contributions in various scientific and social fields.
The workshop also discussed the importance of supporting and empowering women to perform their active role in society, highlighting the most prominent challenges they may face, while stressing the need to enhance societal awareness of the importance of women’s participation in fields of work and education.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Administrative Assistant Dean of the college presented a letter of appreciation to Assistant Lecturer Noor Abdul-Salam Hamed in recognition of her efforts and her contribution to the success of the workshop.
