Department of Computer Networks at the College of Computers and Informatics held a specialized scientific workshop entitled “Digital Security in Academic Network Environments”, as part of its scientific activities aimed at enhancing awareness of the importance of protecting digital infrastructure in educational institutions. The workshop was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, Acting Dean of the College of Computers and Informatics.


The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Noora Hashim Mohammed, Scientific Assistant Dean of the College of Computers and Informatics. During the workshop, she addressed key concepts of digital security and the major challenges facing academic networks, highlighting methods of preventing cyberattacks, mechanisms for securing data and information, and the importance of adopting modern security policies within the university environment.


This workshop comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to keeping pace with rapid developments in the field of information security and enhancing digital awareness among its staff and affiliates, in line with the requirements of digital transformation and ensuring a secure academic environment.
